any one noticed when some one in sitcom when their drinking water coke or milk they never have ice in their drinks? I just thought of that.

Hm, I hardly ever have ice in my drinks either. Especially not in milk. :confused:

I know I'm in the minority but I actually like ice in my milk when I drink it, which is not that often.

Trees

When the CBS network cancelled the rural-themed shows in 1971, Pat Buttram, who starred in Green Acres, made an observation that, "1971 was the year that CBS canned everything with a tree in it." I think this statement suggests that you never see any trees in a multi-camera sitcom.

As far as I can remember, sitcoms will have trees if the scene is outdoors. At least if it's in a park or out in the countryside.

An entire episode of Alice (a multi-camera sitcom) was about Vera chaining herself to a tree to prevent it from being chopped down. It ultimately was taken down despite her efforts, and in the process it fell right through Mel's Diner.

Sitcoms rarely have foyers at the front door, since the front door usually opens directly into the living room.
