Mr. Television 02-26-2014, 07:26 PM Wow. That's a lot of hours. Zoneboy 02-26-2014, 07:35 PM Link? I've read the thread talking about Death Valley Days on DVD and the only thing I've seen is guesses and speculations about which massive series is going to released in it's entirety. Can you post the exact comment that confirms this release? I'm no fan of tvshowsondvd.com but I saw nothing there that mentions this and it seems logical to me that they would have this posted on their site if it were true. Dave_L 02-27-2014, 05:50 PM Yes, please post the exact link to the post you read which says the entire series will be released later this year. I read that thread, and the person posting the information only said (partially in his initial post, with more in a separate post several pages later) that there is an exclusive deal in place and the series is being digitized. He said the remastering could be for a cable deal or a deal for both cable and DVD release, but he had no idea at this time. He said that about 80 episodes have been worked on so far with many more to go, but he doesn't know who has the rights. Also, I saw no specific timeframe (i.e., this year) mentioned. This doesn't prove anything, the people posting in that thread are trying to guess which massive series is going to be released this year. I've found no post that confirms that it's definitely going to be Death Valley Days. If this clown knew what he was talking about as you claim he does then he would name or link his sources and why all the talk about Lassie, The Millionaire, 77 Sunset Strip? Etc... After reading through that thread and finding nothing but rumors I think my attitude towards tvshowsondvd.com is going to change. From now on when it comes to a series being released I'll trust a reliable source and not a group of people that can't get their facts straight. I honestly hope the guy is right though, I've been wanting to see an official release of Death Valley Days for years. tiredmike59 02-28-2014, 02:13 PM I wish they would hurry up and release them, I still need about 400 eps. I liked that series because they were all true stories. One of my favorite episodes was called " The Friend " with John Payne. He played a marshal in a cow town who befriends an orphan stable boy and when the boy see's the marshal gunned down in a saloon he pulls out this old gun and starts blasting the bad guys. The episode differs somewhat from the actual story but it was still a good one. http://www.americancowboychronicles.com/2013/11/the-newton-massacre-reciprocal.html tiredmike59 02-28-2014, 03:19 PM CORRECTION: Not John Payne it was Robert Taylor. Regulus 04-13-2014, 03:53 PM The last time I saw this show on TV was in the early 70s. Back then I had no Idea that this show's episodes were based on true stories. Little tidbits of history. I have about 1/4 of this show with the DVDs I bought from ioffer. Quality ranges from OK to Terrible, :angryfire so I will be more than happy to get the official release (and introduce the 'boots to "My Little Friend", Mr. B.F.Hammerr). :D :happyface    :rotflmao: :brent |
