Been watching some season 6 episodes on the DVD's, and I noticed the animation isn't as good looking compared to seasons 1-5, the season 6 animation looks cheaply done, not as much attention paid to detail. Anyone else notice this? I don't know what the reason for that would be, maybe at this point Hanna Barbera had different animators working on the show. The series is still good, episodes are strong, good writing, but the animation quality declined in the 6th season.

It's not a significant change, but is noticeable. In season 6, the black lines that surround the images are thinner and less defined. The faces of the characters also have subtle changes in the way they are drawn, it is mostly noticeable on Fred and Barney. Overall, it is just a cheaper and inferior looking animation compared to the earlier seasons. I noticed that some 5th season episodes also have the lesser quality animation.
