I love those vintage commercials and pancakes sure taste good. But as a diabetic, pancakes & maple syrup are off limits to me. But I do make a decent enough replica with soy and almond flour. And I found a sugar free pancake syrup taste really great!

I saw plenty of those commercials on the Essential 100 episodes set :lol: I'm sure every time the Nelsons have breakfast it's pancakes galore.

I love those commercials too. I never knew you can put sliced pinapples or bananas and pour on some of that pancake batter :crazy:

My fave commercial has to be the one on youtube where those hungry Nelson boys are going ape**** over not having their favorite Aunt Jemima pancakes and poor Ozzie had to drive to the store to buy some to please the boys.

Not bad but the biggest 'acting' leap here had to be Harriet's as she evidently rarely if ever cooked!
Funny how many of the plots had the theme of Ozzie inviting extras for meals and Harriet expressing momentary frustration but ALWAYS managing to feed everyone well in the end. :cool:
