View Full Version : Centric has to be the dumbest cable station of all time after what they did today
TVFactFan 02-21-2014, 09:23 PM This f*cking joke of a cable channel actually scheduled a marathon to air on a weekday that wasn't a holiday?
Who the hell does that? I mean who watched the marathon of What's Happening Now today when people had to go to school and work? Never in my life have I seen such a stupid time slot for a marathon. Did Centric think today was President's day?
icecream 02-21-2014, 11:43 PM Several stations air marathons on weekdays, block programming has been popular for awhile.

Really? for no one to watch
MikeLutton 02-22-2014, 02:42 AM that and centric had way to many commercials and they shortend the opening credits I couldn't watch anymore,
mets82 02-24-2014, 04:51 PM I was going to start a topic on this but I think Centric owes me an apology. I watched or at least tried to watch What's Happening marathon and it was a total failure. The episodes were fine it was just that there were too many commercials. I must have counted at least 10 during one commerical break. What a joke. I couldn't even follow the episodes because they took forever to see. The breaks seemed to go forever, at least 6 to 8 mins. maybe more. Total epic fail.
MikeLutton 02-24-2014, 05:12 PM and they shortend the opening credits hated that may never watch centric again
ThomasE 02-24-2014, 05:16 PM Regarding the commercials, TV Land does the same thing. I think that these Viacom stations are trying to sell airtime and gain more profit. to keep things running possibly.
LUNCH 02-24-2014, 05:42 PM Even after recording some of it with a DVR it was impossible to watch. They ran the shows so off the clock without scheduling that way,it was impossible to even record them properly. They basically just ran a marathon of commercials.
ThomasE 02-24-2014, 05:53 PM Dag! Was it thaaat bad?
LUNCH 02-24-2014, 06:00 PM Yes it was really that bad. American TV channels just keep getting worse with the amount of commercials they show. Maybe we should start importing channels from countries like Sweden or any one of a number of countries around the World who don't basically fill their line-ups with commercials/off the clock programming etc..

Glad I was at work:lol:
MikeLutton 02-24-2014, 09:58 PM one of my favorite scenes from the show
this is mis Thomas
rerun wow did you go on a diet lol
mets82 02-26-2014, 04:09 PM Now what was the point of that "marathon" and I use that term loosely? I mean you butcher it, show it so off the clock and now what? Are they going to bring it back? If they are not, what was the sense of airing it in the first place?

Well, I just started doing that so I agree with you.

Plus, I utilize other Netflix regions outside the US. There is a difference.
TVFactFan 02-27-2014, 12:10 AM Centric has marathons every saturday and aired this one on a friday
Pavan 02-27-2014, 12:25 AM Wrong. They have marathons Fri-Sun.
TVFactFan 02-27-2014, 12:58 AM Wrong. They have marathons Fri-Sun.
Well they need to eliminate the fridays
ThomasE 02-27-2014, 02:13 AM Well, 227 had a marathon that aired on a Friday as well. The timing was off on that too.
