Here's a weekly breakdown:

Out of the 168 hours in a week, 18 hours (11%) will be devoted to 9 "Antenna TV Theater" movies, down from the current 16 movies (32 hours and 19%), and significally down from the peak of 28 movies (56 hours and 33%) that made up the schedule for most of 2013.

Bewitched, I Dream Of Jeannie, & Three's Company will be the most aired shows every week as they will each make up 7% of the schedule and 12 hours (including 5 hours of same day repeats). Too Close For Comfort will make up 10 hours (including 5 hours of same day repeats).

The rest of the weekly breakdown includes:

7 hours each of Green Acres & Mister Ed;
6 hours each of Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Bachelor Father, Burns And Allen, Good Times, Sanford And Son, & The Jack Benny Program;
5 hours each of All In The Family, Dennis The Menace, Father Knows Best, Hazel, McHale's Navy, & The Patty Duke Show;
3 hours of E/I programs;
2 hours each of Adv. Of Rin Tin Tin, Flipper, Here Come The Brides, It Takes A Thief, Maude, Partridge Family, & Totally Tooned In; and
1 hour each of Barney Miller, Diff'rent Strokes, Gidget, Suspense Theatre, The Flying Nun, The Monkees, & WKRP In Cincinnati.

Wish the movies were eliminated completely

I wish Maude would remain five days a week and I find Patty Duke Show
to be irritating.
(let alone the whole concept of identical cousins...yeah, right..:happyface :lol:
(I know they didn't want to appear to be copying Parent Trap, but Gilligan's Island is more realistic than Patty Duke.)
And I wish the Honeymooners would be on. After all, in the NYC area, channel 11 (PIX) ran them for decades, and Antenna is a Pix station, isn't it?
And I wish Beaver, Adam-12 and Dragnet stayed on Antenna (though if we really are getting ME in the area in a few months, that's okay too)

Also hope the episodes in the morning are not the same ones the previous night.

Jack Benny, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, and Bachelor Father deserve to be shown at a decent time. Barney Miller, WKRP, and Benson should be on weekdays. I like I Dream of Jeannie and Bewitched but since they already have good slots from 7-9PM something else should air from 11AM-1PM. While it's good they don't air as many movies as they used to I would put a movie back at 5AM and remove the Saturday night primetime movies for series.

Wish they could get rid of it completely, but its ok for now. They could get rid of the Monkees and Patridge Family. I still think there weekend, especially Sun. afternoon is bad.

It's a nice schedule. Something for everyone. Sure there are a few shows I could live without like Good Times and Green Acres - but then there are many great shows nonetheless. As for the movies, they're a nice breakup - and some of them are really good. I remember they aired an old Judy Holiday movie I was fond of but never burned - so it was nice to get the chance to do it then.

Even though I wax poetic about Antenna, I don't watch it too much. Not because I don't like it (CAUSE I DO!!). But because I burned so many shows from it. I think Antenna provides AMPLE opportunities to see vintage shows for FREE - saving many hundreds of dollars - from buying box sets they may not be able to afford. Honestly, I think anyone that would gripe about Antenna's (minor) shortcomings would find fault with just about anything.

I wish they would get Nanny & the Professor. That series is a perfect complement to Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie. The Brian Keith Show would be nice to have as well. And let's see maybe Welcome Back, Kotter -- especially if they can get the later seasons.

I'd also like to see The Ghost and Mrs. Muir as far as older stuff. And here's an offbeat request: The Governor and J.J. (Julie Sommars).

Well they have been airing AITF and Maude for a long time, and while I like almost all of Lear's shows, I do think it's time for one (or two!) to go.

As for your #2 there are many great choices. I'd do cartwheels if it were Room 222.

Still, considering how shi**y some of the cable channels are, that you have to pay for no less- and compare them to F-R-E-E Antenna -- well, Antenna still comes up smelling like a rose.

Really? Are you sure? I have seen a lot of S2 eps on there. I have not explored seasons three and four yet on YT. I have some of those eps on VHS here at home. Some eps in the last two seasons seemed more watered down to me. Some key elements were gone by this point.

I'm just upset that they're moving Jack Benny to 5 and 5:30 am and BURNS & ALLEN will only be on on Saturdays.:(Burns and Allen remains weekdays at 3:00AM and 3:30AM. 5AM isn't good for Jack Benny but neither was 4AM.

Strange that the TV show "It Takes A Thief" is not more popular! It now schedule in the very early hours on Saturdays. Just want to have it back to the 7-9 P.M.

Also, there is not any TV detective drama on Antenna. Love to see them get the 50s Mike Hammer and Richard Diamond. I have some Richard Diamond but many episodes are kind of washed out! They should air "The Gallant Men" - 1960s TV war drama and T.H.E. CAT!

i agree with everyone about the movies. They can take a hike as far as I'm concerned, esp. on Fri. night. They must not be doing well or they wouldn't keep reducing the movie hours. I also wish someone could tell us why they are missing so many eps. of Bachelor Father. I also agree with the majority of posters on Diff'rent Strokes. I have them all, from BET a few years back--but it was great to just turn it on at 8 each night and see 2 eps.

I don't know if this has changed; but back 5 years ago; I talked with a programming director and there are several ways they can buy programming. The cheapest way is to buy a package that is a grab bag of episodes that may begin a the 1st episode of the series continue to the end of the 2nd and then just to the fourth year or whatever. They can buy a number like 60 episodes and then repeat them for a contract of 6 months. Or they can buy a straight series package that has consecutive episodes like 60 episodes and decide upon the re-run duration. The most expensive is to buy the full series and run it for the duration of the series. I think Antenna just purchase the cheapest and just renewal the runtime contract again and again showing the same odd episodes from before. After all; it slotted at the time that nobody usually watches too. So, until they decide to move it to like prime time; they not going to spend money on new episodes. I still watch the repeat episodes however. Many have been repeated at least 4 or 5 times.

I think the movies cost less then the TV series to air and I happy with many of the movies in the morning hours since I like 30s, 40s and early 50s movies. These early movies have more acting ability and almost no violence compare to today's action dramas that have 80 shoot em ups and beatings in them. Very graphic. Sex is shown as results; no actual acts! Directors back then needed to think out the screens a lot more and were better in telling the truth about life then the continue showing of violence in today's movies.

It was a different time! Society had social classes and there were a high hierarchy in place - rich, working class and poor. If you look at movies today; all the families are pretty wealthy in the movies and drive new cars around. Not so in the old pictures.

What I can't stand about this station is their willingness to cycle through shows like Maude and Good Times over and over again, but they can't manage to let a show like Benson complete one cycle. They could at least put it on overnight once a week so I could record it. Bleh.

I just wish they wouldn't keep shoving THE JACK BENNY SHOW further & further into the wee hours. And they'd put BURNS & ALLEN on in an earlier time

You know I remember that. I also remember they had a marathon of Benson for one weekend in June 2006. Think it was June 4 and 5.

That's why I am comfortable without TV Land on my cable service

Father Knows Best is getting yet another Father's Day marathon, 20 hours starting at 7AM. There are so many shows I'd rather see a marathon of, and this is at least 3 straight years now. Also, Antenna TV dropped the Tribune Broadcasting Company part from their Facebook page, it's just Antenna TV now.

OH Nuts!

What might be nice is a variety of Father's Day or father-related episodes from the various series they air--instead of the same thing year after year. Still it's a nice marathon and an opportunity to catch up on FKB eps for those who are big fans.

It's hard for me to be critical of a channel that's FREE and offers a nice variety that's often better than many "premium" oldie's channels.

It's sort of curious as to why Antenna continues to air The Patty Duke Show five days per week, as originally it ran only 3 seasons. That seems like a natural instead for weekends only.

I'd like to see them add more '70s series (Nanny & the Professor, Funny Face) and late '60s (Gentle Ben, Daktari).

I'm new to this forum. Does anyone know why Antenna TV Channel 46.2 out of Charlotte, NC is showing movies all day now? I tuned in to watch FATHER KNOWS BEST at 3:00 today and a movie was on instead. During commercials, a MOVIES.TV logo kept repeating. Has the format changed? This is our only Antenna TV station. There are ENOUGH movies on TV now. I really enjoyed watching the shows I grew up with.

Patty Duke had 104 episodes. That's more than 4 seasons in today's format.

It switched affiliations to Movies unfortunately. Someone else posted about that on Antenna TV's Facebook page. It's a shame.
