I never saw 30 Rock but that cutaway looked better and it worked compared to Family Guy which did a stupid one as usual.

Here are some cutaway gags Family Guy ought to do:
One of Brian watching an ALF episode. In the episode, The Tanners finally let ALF eat a cat after being against it, and denying him. Then the Tanners ask what kind of cat ALF is eating. Then it's revealed the cat ALF is eatingis Garfield.
One of the movie 2001: A Space Oddessy. Where the HAL 9000 Computer talks like either a black guy or an Asian.
Fred Flintstone takes over the Grand Poobah. He starts a hate campaign against Barney Rubble for stealing his Fruity/Cocoa Pebbles cereal. It can also show Barney Rubble on a mountaintop laughing evilly as he eats Fred's Pebbles cereal. (since Seth loves the Flintstones so much)
