TracyLynnS 02-12-2014, 06:22 PM The remains of Wendy Camp, Cynthia Britto, and Lisa Kregear were discovered. The case is far from closed tho. Strydyr Starfyre was caught a few weeks ago, January 2014. Andy Cook was executed in February 2013, for murdering Grant Hendrickson and Michelle Cartagena back in 1995. In November 2013, police officers Ed Carter and Frank Black were charged for the murders of Gloria Ross and Candy Belt. Dorothy Lee Barnett was arrested in September 2013 for the parental abduction of her daughter Savanna Todd. On April 26th 2013, David Kemp turned himself in to authorities. He was wanted for the murders of his ex wife Tina Creamer and her boyfriend Robert Miller. In April 2013, Christian Gerhartsreiter, (Christopher Chichester, Clark Rockefeller) was convicted of murdering Jon Sohus. In March 2013, authorities released a third recording of the EAR/ONS voice. In September 2013 they released new information, such as he may be connected to a construction site and may be a painter, but this hasn't led to a suspect yet. Sylvia Browne, a psychic in the Moss Beach Distillery segment, died in 2013. November 2013, Mahfuz Huq pled guilty to Todd Kelley's murder. He's to be sentenced on April 4, 2014. Woah! hold on a second. There's a second and THIRD recording of that EAR / ONS creepy voice? I've only heard the first one he left on that poor Woman's answering machine. That scared the hell out of me. Where can I find the other recordings? TracyLynnS 02-15-2014, 10:54 AM Woah! hold on a second. There's a second and THIRD recording of that EAR / ONS creepy voice? I've only heard the first one he left on that poor Woman's answering machine. That scared the hell out of me. Where can I find the other recordings? I saw an article called In The Footsteps Of A Killer reported on LAmag.com, but it looks like the site is down today. (downforeveryoneorjustme.com says the site is only down for me so maybe I have something on my computer blocking the site?) I thought maybe they pulled the article because the info about the recording is incorrect, but I can't access anything on their site at all. While skimming through the following sites, they all only seem to mention the paint evidence. I think LAmag.com was the only one to mention a new audio recording being released. This public radio blog also mentions the article: http://www.scpr.org/programs/airtalk/2013/02/27/30692/la-magazine-hunting-the-golden-state-killer/ These articles are working for me: http://www.independent.com/news/2013/sep/13/new-lead-original-night-stalker-murders/?on http://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2013/09/09/public-assistance-sought-in-original-night-stalker-case-after-new-evidence-uncovered-in-irvine/ EAR/ONS message boards: http://earonsgsk.proboards.com/thread/236?page=1&scrollTo=4066 nikkispence1989 02-15-2014, 06:19 PM March 2013, authorities released a third recording of the EAR/ONS voice. Thanks for the info TracyLynnS 02-15-2014, 06:31 PM can you inlighten me on this case? Thanks for the info I'm far from an EAR/ONS expert. This case was scary but, like the Zodiac case, Unibomber, and some others, it never really caught my interest. There are quite a few people on this board who know the details of this case very well. Hopefully they will come along and explain better than I can. Best I can recall, this man was a rapist and murderer in California during the 1970s and maybe 80s? He broke into people's houses and raped the women. If a man was home, he would make sure the man was tied up, then place a stack of plates on him, so if he moved to get free, the plates would clatter and alert the rapist to the escape attempt. I think he called one of the victims and left a recording on her answering machine. He's never been caught. EAR/ONS stands for East Area Rapist/Original Night Stalker and his case sometimes get confused with Richard Ramirez, the Night Stalker, because the nicknames given to them are so similar. The UM wikia has a case summary: http://unsolvedmysteries.wikia.com/wiki/Original_Night_Stalker kolson82 02-16-2014, 05:35 PM This thread is a good place to start: http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?t=224079&highlight=true+crime There's also an interesting doc by E! Network (of all channels) that goes into more details about the EAR/ONS than the UM segment did. It's an eerie case, for sure, and as many others have stated, it is similar to the Zodiac Killer in that it is extremely unlikely that it will ever be solved. Also, one of the investigators wrote a book about the case called "Sudden Terror" -- You can read about it here: http://www.amazon.com/Sudden-Terror-Larry-Crompton/dp/1452052417 kolson82 02-16-2014, 05:38 PM can you inlighten me on this case?
