Some fun facts:

The "third" Beatles appearance on the Ed Sullivan show was actually taped earlier that same day (February 9, 1964). The second Sullivan show was the last one they taped. The pickguard on John's Rickenbacker (gold in 2/9, white in 2/16) is a bit of a dead giveaway.

Phil Spector was one of the people on that same flight with the Beatles.

Brothers Albert and David Maysles spent time filming the Beatles for two weeks as part of their documentary What's Happening! The Beatles In The U.S.A. In 1991, it was re-edited into The Beatles: The First U.S. Visit.

OH Nuts!

Great photos! Great group! Their work still vital and vibrant. Great memories...I was 8 when "I Want To Hold Your Hand" came out, and I remember how much it made my flip. And many of their other songs too...and movies...appearances..philanthropy...current stuff with Paul...magical then and magical now

Who watched last night's telecast? Everyone did a passable job except Katy Perry. Her rendition of "Yesterday" was terrible! But all in all I liked the show.:D
