View Full Version : Antenna TV is the dumbest f***ing channel in the history of TV
TVFactFan 02-04-2014, 10:50 PM There are celebrating the 40th anniverasary of Good times and had no idea it's been a saturday marathon of Good Times on TV One since july
This is not big news. It would have been if today was Feb 4, 2004 LOL

ThomasE 02-04-2014, 10:58 PM Solomon, I am sure that there are people that don't watch TV ONE. Good Times viewers Antenna probably watch it on Antenna alone. Besides, they are always doing marathons especially those that show a show meeting a milestone anniversary.

Two f*cking marathons of the same show on the same day lol

I want to see a 40th anniversary of the Jeffersons next jan lol
ThomasE 02-04-2014, 11:25 PM The watch TV ONE.
Now, let it go...

I plan to at 12am lol
biffbronson 02-05-2014, 05:06 AM I remember around the time the series started, I thought the lyric was "keeping your head underwater." Those crazy kids down the block that filled their kitchen sink in the summer and dunked their heads in...
tlc38tlc38 02-05-2014, 08:00 AM I like Good Times but I'm not a huge fan. A marathon on the show's 40th anniversary is to be expected from a network who usually does these sorts of things. Just as a side note, I do like The Jeffersons more than Good Times but that's beside the point.
OH Nuts! 02-05-2014, 08:56 AM I'm not a fan of Good Times so I'l be skipping the Marathon. I still love Antenna. For a FREE channel it's great. Is it perfect? No, but then no channel is - esp. those you have to pay $ to view. So I miss a day of watching Antenna--big deal; I burned over 100 DVDs of great shows Antenna aired in the past.
Again, the way I see it, if I even get one show I like from a FREE channel I'm ahead of the game. And from Antenna, I've gotten at least ten.
ThomasE 02-05-2014, 10:03 AM I plan to at 12am lol
Good, Solomon. Very good and progressive of you...

My sister was a toddler when it started and instead of saying "Ain't-we-lucky-we-got-em' she'd say "Me-Me-Ri-cky-Ri-car-do...Good Times.....".

What's funny to me isn't that AntennaTV is having a marathon of good Times, at the same time as TvOne, but that someone would pay to watch Good Times when you can watch it for free on AntennaTV.
ThomasE 02-05-2014, 10:35 AM You two are on opposite sides but still saying the same thing. LOL.

Yup two marathons at the same time

I know. I don't even get Antenna TV. I didn't get TV ONE until August 2010. So it's big news either way.

ThomasE 02-08-2014, 03:07 PM Thanks for posting, SOL. I've been watching on Antenna's marathon. Ima switch to TV ONE and see what's left over.
george ho 02-08-2014, 03:14 PM Well, I don't have TVONE; Verizon Fios puts it into more expensive packages. This two same-day marathons issue shouldn't bother me and those not having either.
ThomasE 02-08-2014, 04:00 PM Georgeho, you don't have Antenna either?
TVFactFan 02-08-2014, 06:37 PM Georgeho the show is complete on DVD and the entire series is on youtube so no need for the sad stuff:lol:
ThomasE 02-08-2014, 06:39 PM And might I add, that the show is on Netflix streaming as well.
TVFactFan 02-08-2014, 06:41 PM Thanks for posting, SOL. I've been watching on Antenna's marathon. Ima switch to TV ONE and see what's left over.
It was weird they aired none of the classic episodes from season 1, 2, and 3
The Checkup
Debuntate Ball
Lunch Money Ripoff
Cleatus
Rent Party
Antenna TV never gets it right

it's everywhere

The Rent Party should have aired last night in the marathon. I saw it on TV ONE in the afternoon.
BTW, Georgeho, I made a slight error. Good Times is a part of the Netflix lineup but it is a part of the Netflix Canada lineup. I'm about to log on to Netlfix Canada and watch a season four ep now that I missed yesterday from the marathon where the family wins the lottery and Edna holds them at gunpoint. :D

Yeah I caught that but never edited my post. But no Dinner Party or Lunch Money Ripoff?
It's a fool making the programming decisions for Antenna TV:lol:

Well, I went ahead and watched "The Lunch Money Ripoff" myself on Netflix Canada instead. I must agree with you there as that was a classic episode. When I first watched that episode as an adult, I flipped my lid with hysterical laughter when James pulled Eddie into the room for that whipping. That was classic. John Amos was great there.

I don't think they dropped the ball. They did a'ight with the airings. I do with there were two more season six episodes is all.

In all honest, only the James era should have been aired on saturday
Anna Karenina 07-06-2018, 08:20 PM Bumping up this thread because the title amuses me...

I so agree with the title because Antenna TV is an awful channel because of the horrendous credit crunches. That title fits it perfectly.
