Scott Bakula Joins "NCIS: New Orleans"
by Matt Webb Mitovich
2/3/13

CBS’ latest, New Orleans-based "NCIS" offshoot has filled its first role, and it goes to TV vet Scott Bakula.

TVLine has learned that Bakula is boarding the planted pilot in the role of NCIS Special Agent Pride.

Described as “embodying New Orleans,” Pride is “driven by the need to do what’s right … with warmth, passion, strength and humor. He’s a unique federal agent working in one of this country’s most unique cities.”

In the prospective series — which is being exec-produced by "NCIS" boss Gary Glabserg and star Mark Harmon, and will air its pilot as a springtime "NCIS" two-parter — the New Orleans NCIS office will handle cases from Pensacola through Mississippi and Louisiana to the Texas panhandle.

Per the logline, “With its rich setting of music, fun and debauchery, New Orleans is a magnet for military personnel on-leave. And with fun comes trouble.”

Usually don't like spin-offs like this. I don't like NCIS: LA but I'll give this a try. I like Scott Bakula.

"Dirty Sexy JAG" Alum Joins "NCIS: New Orleans"
by Matt Webb Mitovich
2/3/13

The "NCIS: New Orleans" team is quickly populating.

On the heels of Scott Bakula joining CBS’ spin-off pilot as team leader Agent Pride, Zoe McLellan — who was wife to Peter Krause on "Dirty Sexy Money" and played P.O. Jennifer Coates on "NCIS" predecessor "JAG" — has landed the role of Special Agent Brody, a Midwestern transplant who comes to New Orleans looking for a fresh start and a safe haven to heal old wounds.

As such, she is the show’s crawfish-out-of-water.

Still to be cast for the pilot — which is being exec-produced by "NCIS" boss Gary Glabserg and star Mark Harmon, and will air as a springtime "NCIS" two-parter — are the roles of Agent LaSalle (a “muscular,” “devilish” and “charming” 30something former Sheriff’s deputy, raised in Louisiana) and Dr. Wade (the “outspoken” and “eccentric” Ducky of the team).

CCH Pounder Joins "NCIS" Spinoff
by NELLIE ANDREEVA
February 3, 2014

"The Shield" alumna CCH Pounder has joined Scott Bakula and Zoe McLellan in CBS’ "NCIS" planted spinoff.

She will play Dr. Wade, the Jefferson Parish Medical Examiner who us as eccentric as she is smart and also is intuitive and incredibly connected to Louisiana.

What? Zoey's there too? So Sam will have to contend with the Evil Leapers again? And CCH Pounder?....... okay- never mind, I'm out of Quantum Leap jokes now.;)
NCIS is one of the few current shows that I like fairly well- hopefully this will be a good spinoff series. And yeah, obviously I'm a fan of Scott Bakula and his work as Dr. Sam Beckett on Quantum Leap- and of course, as Captain Jonathan Archer on Star Trek: Enterprise. And he's done a number of other good TV shows and movies too. (I thought Men of a Certain Age was a pretty good series too.)

"NCIS: New Orleans" Adds Fast & Furious Actor
by Matt Webb Mitovich
2/10/14

"NCIS: New Orleans" has found its fourth and final team member.

Following last week’s castings of Scott Bakula, CCH Pounder and Zoe McClellan, film vet Lucas Black has been tapped to fill the last role on the planted spinoff, playing NCIS Special Agent LaSalle.

Having relocated to New Orleans as a kid, LaSalle is described as “embodying the city’s edge and fun and sexiness,” “a man who works hard and plays harder” and a “no-nonsense federal agent who believes in doing what’s right no matter what.”

"Dirty Sexy JAG" Alum Joins "NCIS: New Orleans"

That's pathetic, is it too much of an effort to say "Dirty Sexy Money" & "Jag" Alum instead of trying to combine the 2.

It's more of a gag or play on words as opposed to laziness.
