I am not looking for this but the last time I checked there was a decent quality 17 disc set recorded from Nick at Nite.
I was wondering if anyone has made a better set with good quality episodes since the show has aired quite a few times since Nick at Nite.

I have my own set made off of Hallmark HD, but have never traded it so its not circulating.

I recorded a recent marathon of "Who's The Boss" over the holidays from Comedy Gold in Canada, but I have not authored a final set yet. The episodes are probably uncut at about 24 minutes each (like Growing Pains) but still have to verify that.

I am recording the show from TVGN. The TVGN channel with my provider does not have the guide running through it so I can make a set without that pesky scrolling guide.

I made a complete set from Comedy Gold as well and encoded to H.264 .mkv files. Great quality for a great show!

Do you have the original DVD files or just encodes?

No, I don't keep them as they are roughly 4GB each and while HDD prices have dropped a ton, keeping almost 800GB around is a bit excessive. I just encode them to H.264 at about 300 megs each and drop them on my NAS making the full series about 80GB. I like the convenience of being able to play on any tv in my house via a WD Live TV player versus having to shuffle through discs trying to find the episode I want.

that's what I'm shifting to as well .... At least for my favorite series.
it also allows you to play them on the go on a tablet or phone.
