HelloLarry 01-31-2014, 01:46 AM I didn't see it but doesn't MASH air in a one hour block at 5 or 6 each day? The only thing I can think of is prior to the GOODBYE RADAR episode there are three episodes. Perhaps they didn't want to air the two parts over two days so they bumped one of the episodes so G.R. could air in the one hour block and then just showed the remaining pre G.R episode the following day? Just my thought. Do these air uncut? I have the DVDs and haven't watched in a bit but I remember they had him billed as a 'special guest star' or something like that in those final episodes yet before his actual last episodes he'd have a scene where he was in Tokyo talking with Klinger or something like that. When they used to be on in syndication, I think those scenes were cut out of the episode which was funny because you'd see his picture in the closing credits. His voice seems more 'adult' in those last episodes almost as if he gave up trying to sound 'young'. treky 01-31-2014, 02:14 AM I didn't see it but doesn't MASH air in a one hour block at 5 or 6 each day? Yea, what you're saying makes sense, maybe that's why they did it. The episodes DO air MOSTELY uncut, like you mentioned they show the scenes in a couple of his final episodes of him talking to Klinger on the phone and they show other scenes which are always missing in syndication. For instance in the pilot, they show the extended opening which doesn't air in syndication, but they don't show the scene where they stab Frank with a needle in post-op to make him unconscious. And they also speed up some parts of the episodes. |
