That's right! Even though Season 7 won't be released until 2/4, Season 8, the last season, will be released in May of this year. I'm shocked that they're doing it so soon, but happy that the series will be complete.

Check out the new artwork...

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I saw this and I'm ecstatic! I'm so glad to finally see "Laverne & Shirley" getting released in its entirety on DVD! I will be very excited to finally watch the rest of the series later this year. And I love the Season 8 cover art- I think it's perfect! Yay for Laverne & Shirley! Thanks to Paramount for making our dreams come true!:)

As actively and strenuously as I avoid the eighth season, I'm happy the series DVD releases will be complete. The cover picture breaks my heart. :(

"Laverne & Shirley" is the prime example of a classic show that just completely fell apart in its final season. So I enjoy watching the season - not for how good it is, but for how bad it is. I'm behind on my DVDs. Knowing that the final season will be coming, I'm gonna have to catch up!

I'll probably wait til season 8 comes out and then buy seasons 7 & 8 together. I already own seasons 1-6.

Btw, I actually like season 8. My favorite episode from that season is "The Monastery Show".

Being that this is the last and final season of the Show, I think that they should include "The Laverne & Shirley Reunion" (1995) & "Entertainment Tonight Presents: Laverne & Shirley - Together Again" (2002), as Special Features.

Yes! I really wish they would!

Being that this is the last and final season on DVD, I wish they'd include the cast that appeared as their characters, on other shows, either the complete episodes, in their entirety, or just the pasts/scenes they were featured in. I know they included first part of the "Shotgun Wedding," which was a Happy Days episode, and Part Two was a crossover Laverne & Shirley episode. I'd love to see their first appearance on Happy Days, as well as their other Happy Days appearances. I think Penny was on a Mork & Mindy episode, as Laverne DeFazio. I believe she was on Blansky's Beauties, too. I do believe that Eddie Mekka (Carmine) was on a Happy Days episode, as well. I'd love to see everything, including two reunion specials. Everything I mentioned was distributed, released and produced by Paramount, so there should be no problem, unless there's music that has to be clear. If they can pull it off, I'd love to see any interviews they did at that time, or maybe they can do something new, like episode introductions, commentaries, photo slideshow.

I notice the Eighth Season, aka "Laverne...Where's Shirley?" has been out for a while, and no review. No one brave enough to watch it? ;-)

Not that I care, but just want to know what wonderful handiwork Constantly Butchering Shows did to this season too.

^^Not "Constantly Butchering Shows", but "Constantly Forgetting Season Numbers". That "subject to change" warning from TVshowsonDVD.com meant that a "Final season" DVD may leave out the season number altogether.

Nah, the former still works better. They can number each season in the thousands if I could keep the original music and closing logos.

I just recently got through watching Season 8 of "Laverne & Shirley" and I'm glad to say that I have now seen every episode of the series! :-)
I love this show from start to finish- it's all good.
I talked a lot about my thoughts on the last season in this thread, if you're interested- http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?t=330777
