I remember a 30 min. show from the early 90's about an older man who lived in the country or on a farm and his sister or daughter and her children (three I think, one was a teenage boy). I don't remember if the man's wife or the woman's husband was ever on the show. The show did not last long so I don't have many memories but I do remember one show where a tornado hit and caused minor damage. Someone please help me !

Maybe you're thinking of "Heartland", on CBS from 1989 and starring Brian Keith? He played a curmudgeon who lived on a farm with his daughter, son-in-law, and three grandchildren. It lasted 10 episodes.
