It is bad enough that they cut out the En Vogue theme from season 1 and Soul Man from season 3 but the content is butchered to death. Almost every network has aired the show it it's proper theme but I can't figure out what happened here. I mean it aired on teen Nick in 2001 in the edits were better and the music was definitely in tact.

I was thinking the same thing. I was like, "Wait, they dubbed the song out." Makes Nick look bush league. I mean really they cut an En Vogue song? Now we are editing theme songs. Wonderful.

Wait! Did they use the shorter theme from En Vogue or did they just cut it all together? If so, then how do the credits for the opening roll in? Now Soul Man was used for season two and not three. So, was season two's Soul Man cut? Was season three to five's "Give It Up" cut as well? This, I have to see.

I want to check out those themes. The openings must look akward. I wonder if the rights were lost to the opening music with En Vogue and then with the other being a copyrighted song from the 60's? Maybe that has something to do with it.

Give it up is used in seasons one and two as well as seasons three to five. Season one's is the worst as they are obviously singing a different song. You can see it here:

Thanks, Lorimar. That looks terrible! The music ending is abrupt as well. What happened, Viacom/Nick?

I simply refuse to watch this on Nick. This is terrible editing. Why in the world would they butcher the theme songs like this? I know they have to clear music for DVD releases but I didn't think they had to do it for syndication. Either way, this is plain stupid. My bootleg set that was recorded from TV One has all the original theme songs and the quality is way better than this Nick crap.
