I finally got my hands on the complete series DVD of the show. I watched the bonus disc first and I liked the bonus features, but they should have been waaaaaayyy longer. Right now, I'm on Season 1 Episode 12 (Once In Love with Amy). The packaging is pretty neat. The discs come in four keepcases, two seasons per case (save for the last which only has Season 7). The cases come in an outer box of course which is well done but is flimsy and could be sturdier. The discs are all recycled from the original season sets except for the bonus disc of course.

Sweet! So, what all is on the bonus disc? Is it really worth getting if you already have the individual season releases?

There are only two new bonus features on the new disc: Back to the Beginning Featurette (18 Minutes) and Boy Meets... World Fandom (12 Minutes).

I wish I could tell you that this new set is worth it you already have all of the seasons, but I can't. The first feature is an interview with a nearly every main cast member of the series except for Mr. Turner, Mr. Williams, Minkus, Alan Matthews, and the original Morgan (the 2nd Morgan is interviewed though). It reveals some facts most of which is revealed in the commentaries and die-hard fans of the show already know about. But it is pretty cool. The cast talks about the pilot, the characters and the finale and what the show means to them and some favorite moments of the show. Michael Jacobs is interviewed too. The second feature is just an interview with some random fans of the show and they talk about their favorite moments and characters and bring up things like "The Feeny Call" and the episode where Topanga cuts her hair, etc. It's an OK feature, but not as good as the first one. While they're good, they're are not worth spending $60-100 on if you already have all of the seasons. The cast members all have fond memories of the show and love talking about it and I'm sure they would have gladly done things like commentary on later episodes so I'm not sure why Lionsgate would only include two new features, one of which is not even an interview involving any members of the show. The set includes all previous special features. The set basically gathers all of the same discs (with the same menus and disc art) from the seasons sets in new packaging. The set comes in four standard-sized DVD cases in a slipcover. Each case has two seasons in it except for the fourth one which has the final season and the bonus disc. Inside each case are flip-trays with the DVDs. The covers of each case recycles the covers from the original season sets. Though there is a nice insert with a list of every single episode.

So if you don't have any seasons or less than half of them, then you should get it if you really like the show, but if you have every season, then sadly you're not missing anything, unless you're an obsessive completist like me, since I had all of the individual sets. Sorry if I ranted a bit.

Wow, very detailed description of the set. I got mine for Christmas and I feel the same as you. It's a nice set and a really good deal at the price, but it's pretty worthless if you had already purchased all 7 seasons individually.

It was nice to finally get some new bonus features beyond the commentaries Disney produced for the first 2 seasons years back, but I felt cheated. 30 minutes and it was all over. A whole DVD for 2 little featurettes... They could have stuck so much more on there... Oh well.

At least I have every single episode in high quality in one nice small package to watch for years and years to come whenever I want and that's what matters most.

Yeah, that's how I feel. As long as I have all of the episodes uncut and at hand to watch whenever, I'm good. But I was just surprised because it's so apparent how fond of the show the cast and is how much it means to them that I'm sure they wouldn't have minded doing some extra features. But oh well, it's better than nothing and the special features, while small, are still pretty good.
