Facebook's oldest user celebrated her 106th birthday yesterday.
ABC News reported that Edythe Kirchmaier officially became the social media website's oldest registered user last year on her 105th birthday. She looked at Facebook as a way to stay connected to family and friends and also raise awareness for her favorite charity, Direct Relief, which provides medical aid to people around the world who have been affected by poverty, natural disasters and civil unrest. Kirchmaier also still believes in more traditional methods of communication, like writing charity donor thank you letters by hand. Kirchmaier is also California's oldest licensed driver and the University of Chicago's oldest living graduate.
