As great a show as this is, I can't blame JTT for leaving. The kids really didn't have that much scenes/dialogue in the later years. JTT in particular should have had a lot since he was a huge teen idol at the time. But it seemed the writers just didn't know what to do with the kids once they got older. They kept changing Mark.

I get why Mark wore all of the black clothes in season 7 since he was always getting picked on by Brad and Randy, but I was glad that he was back to normal in the final season.

God bless you always!!! :) :) :)

The show just jumped the shark, when Randy and Brad became young adults. They were a main reason for the show`s strong humour with their snide, ironic comments and childish pranks. As they got older there characters became too serious, which was probably a realistic developement but it took away so much of the fun. So JTT leaving didn`t change that much.

Very true the early episodes when the kids were very young were the best. :D

Not a fan of the later episodes. The show went downhill when the boys became grown teenagers. Brad became a meathead jock, Randy a tree hugging liberal hippie, and Mark a Goth outcast. Bleh!

The writers had no idea how to write for teenagers.
