These are two shows that are said to appeal to the same audience. I've tried watching Bones a few times and can never stand more than a few minutes. While there are some episodes of Castle I don't like in general it's one of the best current shows on TV.

Both shows have their frothy fun moments, but I think that the writing on Castle is far superior. Bones has it's moments, but the writing has significantly declined over the last few years. IMO, TPTB at Bones need to plan their exit strategy so they can give their fans some closure.

i watch both shows, but I really think Bones has gone downhill since Bones and Booth got together, and I HATED the long arc stories with that Pelant idiot - soooo boring.
I'm not as mad about them putting Castle and wassername together, at least the plotlines are still good.

Bones lost it's luster for me long before the Booth/Brennan hook up.
In the season before they did the one year leap, it was like the writers suddenly remembered that Bones was supposed to be socially awkward and started writing her dialogue like she was a high-functioning Aspie. Seriously? The woman is supposed to be a bestselling author, and she has zero concept about how people interact with one another?
Don't even get me started on the train wreck that Angela became...
I like the cast of Castle much better than Bones. They have many funny moments mixed in with the drama and that keeps me interested in watching the show.
