(Ralph & Ed are playing pool.)
Ed: "Boy, there are a lot of black people here today Ralph."
Ralph: "You can say that again Norton. On my bus today, I was listening on the radio. I was listening to WPLJ whcih upset one customer because he wanted to listen to a station from Miami Beach."
(Audience cheers.)
Ed: "Hahahaha. Boy, I do too Ralph."
Ralph: "Well, anyway I heard ads for Martin Luther King. The youngest hoilday. Without Martin, like I have said a million times, the world would be a much worse place. There would be places like supermarkets for black people. Buses for blacks. How unfair."
Ed: "How true Ralph. He was also left this world way to early. I wonder what HE would think of Barack Obama."
Ralph: "I wonder too. Just think with them in the White House. As a matter of fact, without Martin Luther King, who would inspire Barack Obama?"
Ed: "Good question Ralphie boy. If was here right now,, I would gladly shake his hand and ask him to be an honorary Raccoon."
Ralph: "I agree Norton. We can all agree that he had a dream and that dream was fulfilled."
Ed: "Unlike someone I know."
Ralph (yells): "ALL RIGHT! ALL RIGHT!"
Ed: "That Martin was a sweet kid."
(They both sing a song about M.L.K.)
(Jackie Gleason walks on stage. Audience applauds.)
Jackie: "Thank you. Good night everyone."
(Crowd cheers.)
