This Friday (January 17) on OWN at 9PM ET/PT, viewers will have the chance to catch up with “The Facts of Life” stars, Lisa Whelchel and Mindy Cohn, when they sit down with “OPRAH: WHERE ARE THEY NOW?” to give updates on their careers and personal lives.

Chicago, IL – Their stories made headlines across America. “Oprah: Where Are They Now?” tracks down “Oprah Show” guests who made you laugh...and made you cry. Find out where they are now and get an inside glimpse inside their homes and lives in an all-new episode of “Oprah: Where Are They Now?” airing this Friday, January 17 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network.

This week on “Oprah: Where Are They Now?:” Dance legend Debbie Allen shot to stardom in “Fame” in the 80s, but today she shares the spotlight with her children and husband to talk about what brings her joy, and why she doesn’t have a problem with aging. “The Facts of Life” aired for eight seasons, launching Lisa Whelchel and Mindy Cohn to fame for their portrayals of Blair Warner and Natalie Green. Years later, Lisa talks about life away from the spotlight, her shocking divorce and what it was like to compete on “Survivor: Philippines,” and Mindy tells all about her lasting friendships with her “Facts” costars. Then, William Shatner allows a rare visit by cameras at his Southern California ranch where he and his wife, Elizabeth, breed horses. He talks about his most iconic role, as Capt. Kirk, and about the time he was homeless and living out of his car. Also, an update with Hydeia Broadbent, the girl born with HIV who was not expected to live past the age of five, and who is now almost thirty years old and spreading awareness about the prevention of HIV/AIDS.

Cool! Nice to see Mindy Cohn, Lisa Whelchel and William Shatner and Debbie Allen all on TV again- nice mix.:)
And certainly this girl born with HIV will have a compelling and interesting story to tell- and a very worthy cause too.

I just watched it. I'm glad to see she's acting again and not afraid of embracing her past!

It's nice to see them embrace their lives today, with appreciation for the past. They both look so good -- and it's nice to see them both acknowledge their single-hood as well. I can empathize with Mindy - a spouse can definitely be great, but there needs to be that "match" in order for it to be right.

I would love to take Mindy out for dinner one night - just to laugh and talk. Yoo Hoo, Mindy - are you listening?

I'm still curious what is was - the "big event" - that caused Lisa's divorce.

Did she actually say "big event"?

Anyone willing to post this interview on YouTube?

There have been rumors for years that Steve is gay.

I remember reading that in People magazine after Lisa did "Survivor." Well, he was at least straight three times (with the kids). ;)

Here's a bit of the interview (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yIC_whaNIsk) on YouTube.

It's interesting that Lisa Whelchel mentioned she auditioned for the role of Rachel on Friends; I think Nancy McKeon once mentioned in an interview that she auditioned for the role of Monica. Imagine that!

I don't believe Lisa "auditioned." Rather, she was asked to read for the part. I think there is a difference, but I may be wrong.

And yes, Nancy McKeon was supposed to be "Monica." Wow - what we could have seen if she had!
