This might be a dumb question but I am giving Tylenol to someone who is in a lot of pain and it says do not exceed 6 doses in a 24 hour period, BUT it says to take 2 pills every 6 hours.

Is a DOSE 1 pill or would it be the 2 pills that is recommended? Would 6 doses be 6 pills or 12 pills?

2 = 1 dose = 8 per 24 hour period.

I usually just take it once. If it doesn't do anything then I don't take anymore. lol
