I'll have to look that up- I've seen some episodes of Punky Brewster- I love that show.:) Gertie1999 01-09-2014, 01:23 PM The Partridge Family bmasters9 01-09-2014, 02:56 PM Press Your Luck would also be in this number, I think. I'm pretty sure the animated Whammies could be seen in the opening credits. That's right! I think those came starting in 1985. MacLeaper 01-09-2014, 06:40 PM A really short-lived sitcom from 1979 called "Turnabout" had animated opening credits. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12ksf_9vr3Q Zoneboy 01-09-2014, 07:30 PM My World And Welcome to it The Honeymooners Dennis the Menace F-Troop (S2) Nanny And the Professor (partially animated) Bridget Loves Bernie (partially animated) McGillicuddy 01-09-2014, 07:49 PM Wild, Wild West biffbronson 01-10-2014, 05:54 AM Bachelor Father (early season only) My Favorite Martian Batman (1966 series - Adam West) Wonder Woman (Lynda Carter) Lost in Space MacLeaper 01-10-2014, 01:00 PM Batman (1966 series - Adam West) Wonder Woman (Lynda Carter) DUH! As a big comic book and superhero fan, I can't believe I didn't think to mention those! Good call.:) (Both great shows, by the way.) MacLeaper 01-10-2014, 01:11 PM Arguably, "Little Muppet Monsters" could fit here. For a brief while in 1985, CBS had Jim Henson expand "Muppet Babies" into an hour long package, which was called "Muppets, Babies and Monsters". The intro theme song featured both animation and live action (of puppets) shots. The hour long package featured an episode of "Muppet Babies" and then an episode of "Little Muppet Monsters"- a show which contained both live action puppet work and some animation as well. It was cancelled after only 3 episodes (though more were produced or at least were in the process of being produced) and remains a rare Muppet treasure for Muppets fans. I'll have to look that up- I've seen some episodes of Punky Brewster- I love that show.:) I don't think it was seen in syndication (and it wasn't the main intro). I think that the version you speak of started sometime in #4. MacLeaper 01-13-2014, 12:46 PM Originally Posted by MacLeaper Really? Cool! :) megamanj2004 01-16-2014, 04:04 PM Ironside (the original) MacLeaper 01-16-2014, 10:46 PM Sesame Street had a partially animated opening during the early 1990s seasons. Also, the closing theme was partially animated during the mid-to-late 1970s. MacLeaper 01-16-2014, 10:47 PM The 1970s U.S. live action Spider-Man show had an animated spider-web appear on screen at the title of the show- I don't know if that counts. I guess it's more of a computer graphic, but I thought it could still count as a quick bit of animation. I guess it depends on how technical you want to get. |
