I remember seeing this case years ago on UM. A young husband & father, who served his country, was murdered in his workplace parking lot. The case remains unsolved.

RIP Matt Flores. :( The 20th anniversary of his mysterious death. Hard to believe his baby girl will be 21 this year. What a tragic loss that she never knew her daddy. bliss 01-10-2014, 08:02 PM For further reading on this case: http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?t=72840&highlight=flores http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?t=308852&highlight=flores http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?t=243351&highlight=flores http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?t=134970&highlight=flores http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?t=113015&highlight=flores WOW never knew Matt's murder had so many topics here  I'll have to check the links out! TracyLynnS 01-10-2014, 09:57 PM WOW never knew Matt's murder had so many topics here  I'll have to check the links out! One of those threads is pretty long, too. Lots of good discussion on the subject, but of course, no answers to what really happened. mikewho 01-10-2014, 11:02 PM Yeah this case made no sense. Seems like there was no rhyme or reason for matt's murder. Just doesn't make sense at all. DarkDante 01-11-2014, 12:49 AM Yeah this case made no sense. Seems like there was no rhyme or reason for matt's murder. Just doesn't make sense at all. That is why the mistake hit is such a popular theory in regards to this case. The notion that Matt's killer may have been stalking out a similar vehicle actually makes more sense than someone stalking Matt Flores unless of course there was something going on in Flores' life that only he knew about. There are just cases that just seem to speak of a professional hit, such as the case of the Pretty family (who are believed to have been the victims of a mistaken hit) which was never profiled on UM but has been discussed a bit on here. Matt Flores is another one that makes you think that his death may have been a tragic case of mistaken identity. I agree totally, but I think if that videotape of the parking lot didn't exist, we'd be at a significantly greater loss for a possible explanation than we are now. We may have had eyewitness testimony, perhaps. But if we had no way of knowing that Explorer followed those two white cars in that parking lot that morning, I think many of us would have a difficult time wrapping our heads around a mistake-hit theory. bliss 01-15-2014, 02:42 AM One of those threads is pretty long, too. Yeah one link was 17 pages I believe and lots of interesting guesses/theories about this man's murder but as you said no answers to this day....20 years later :( bliss 01-15-2014, 02:46 AM That is why the mistake hit is such a popular theory in regards to this case. Apologies but its been awhile since I've seen this UM episode but this bizarre case left a lasting impression on me.... didn't the shooter see the side of Matt's face when he drove into the parking space  bliss 01-15-2014, 02:49 AM I agree totally, but I think if that videotape of the parking lot didn't exist, we'd be at a significantly greater loss for a possible explanation than we are now. Whatever happened to the other white rental(?) car????? Did they ever talked to the driver.... bliss 01-15-2014, 02:55 AM Yeah this case made no sense. A handsome young man who served in the Army, had a loving wife, a baby daughter, and was training for a new job and *bam* it's all over. He was only in California for 9 days but there had to have been something going on within those last days to cause this tragedy hmmm very confusing..... |
