Jodie Sweetin Starts 2014 On a Good Note
By Brian Powell

Jodie Sweetin, best known for her role as Stephanie Tanner on ABC’s Full House, has had her fair share of bad news and downfalls over the years. Not only was she essentially a one-hit-wonder with her 90′s sitcom, but Sweetin has also spent years battling drug addictions – an issue which has affected both her acting career and her three marriages.

Despite her past difficulties, however, Sweetin has decided to start 2014 on the right foot. According to TMZ, Sweetin has finally paid off a debt she has owed the IRS since 2009. During that year, Sweetin apparently “forgot” to pay her income taxes, resulting in her owing the IRS $53,626.29.

This news is the first positive news to come from the Sweetin camp in quite some time. In fall of 2013, rumors abounded once again concerning Sweetin’s relapse and re-entry into a rehab facility. The reports stated that Sweetin had checked into a facility which cost $50,000 per month following her divorce from her third husband, Morty Coyle.

Fortunately for Sweetin and her fans, the rumors were not true. Instead, Sweetin reported that she was actually working at the facility, stating that rumors of her relapse were “such bulls**t.”

Sweetin was employed as a clinical logistics coordinator at the Los Angeles-based rehab center. Rumors of her staying at the rehab center proved to be true, but in a different light then most people imagined: “I work for the center and they have been really generous in helping me with a place to stay as Morty wanted me out by the end of the month. The owners of the facility said I could stay here as I got things figured out,” stated Sweetin.

Sweetin’s divorce from Morty Coyle marked the end of her third marriage. The couple had one child together, 2 year old Beatrix.

I just can't get over the fact that Jodie is roughly around the same age as I am and yet, she has already been married and divorced three times! It's kind of sad that all three of the Tanner girls in real life has encountered some huge post-show controversy. The Olsens (or more specifically, Mary-Kate) w/ their eating disorders as well as the rumors surrounding their involvement in the death of Heath Ledger. Candance Cameron's arguably backwards thinking comments about being "submissive" to her husband (the fact that Kirk is her sister, knowing how well Kirk destroyed Growing Pains w/ his militant, self-important, self-righteous, attitude doesn't help).

I guess the only ones that have not been surrounded by this controversy fiasco that have went from childhood to adults are Andrea Barber (Kimmie Gibbler) and Marla Sokoloff (Gia Mayhan) as well as Scott Weinger (Steve)

Yes, it's sad that they have been in the news alot, but hopefully, they can overcome it and turn their lives around

John Stamos, Bob Saget, Dave Coulier and Lori Loughlin I guess are the only ones that haven't fallen into that trap

What controversy has Candace Cameron Bure been involved with?

Candance Cameron's arguably backwards thinking comments about being "submissive" to her husband (the fact that Kirk is her sister, knowing how well Kirk destroyed Growing Pains w/ his militant, self-important, self-righteous, attitude doesn't help).

Ah, I see. Well, some may call it backwards thinking- I would call it Biblical thinking- but yes, that is backwards to the rest of the world, I know.:)
I disagree about Kirk Cameron destroying Growing Pains as well, but that's a different topic. And in any case, that really has nothing to do with his sister.

Candace Cameron Bure also struggled with an eating disorder at one point. That could be considered controversial.

Ah, okay- I forgot about that. But I don't think it's controversial that Candace had an eating disorder in itself- she got through it and seems to be doing well with eating issues now.
(Though if she didn't handle it in the right way or something- I guess that could be controversial.)
She and the Olsen twins generally have come out pretty well, I think- it seems to be mainly Jodie Sweetin who has gone through a lot of unfortunate situations (that are publicized- I'm sure the Olsens and Bure have had their share too.)

The sad thing is that it came out the wrong way, as if she lived in the 19th century. After all, I would never be "submissive" to my husband. God, I just hate the very word so much! But hey, if it works for them...
