I mean fans as in "whoa, arrest me officer! cause you are hot!" type fans.

Dietrich's probably the only reason I watch Barney Miller. Well, not really. But close.

I know there used to be a "Dietrich Harem" around here years ago after reading the backlog of this board. Oh....how I wish I found sitcoms online back then. :D

So, is there still a harem. Can we restart one?

Also. I was so sad when I found out Steve died a few years back. (3 years now.) Just heartbreaking. He was such a funny/cute/talented/nice guy.

The last 3 seasons would have sucked if they didn't have Dietrich. Especially after they lost Fish and Yemana.

Bump. *crickets* am I still one of the only ones?

Goodness. I been watching the show more on Antenna TV here lately and swooning so hard. So glad I missed the first 2 seasons on this rotation. Don't really care much for them...Wonder why. LOL.

You are definitely not the only one! I'll gladly be part of the Dietrich harem! Love everything about him :D

I'm a guy, not swooning, but he did a show at my college a long time ago which I saw.

Not in a crush way, but I like Dietrich, he's really funny! Added something to the show for sure!

Now as for "arrest me officer " I'm gonna say my crush would be Wojohowitz. He was a big teddy bear type of hot and cute!!!

There was a user named "sara" here a few years back who was a huge fan of Dietrich's and posted fairly often. I haven't seen any posts from her for a very long time, unfortunately.

I have no attraction to Dietrich, being straight and male, but I really did like his character a lot and agree that the show would never have made it through the Fish and Yemana departures if it hadn't been for him. I also agree that Steve died WAY before his time, and really never got enough credit for his talent. I always wished he had done another sitcom after BM, but then again, anything after that would probably have seemed like a come down.
