TNT has had an exclusive deal for the original Law & Order for a long time now. It looks like that will change at the start of 2014. WGN and WE-TV will share the rights, TNT's deal must have expired. WGN will air it weekdays from 11AM-4PM with a break for news in the 1PM hour. Walker, Texas Ranger will move to the mornings from 9-11AM. Matlock and In the Heat of the Night will be leaving the weekday schedule but will still be on weekends.

I actually call TNT the "Law and Order" channel and USA the "NCIS" channel. About time they tried something new.

TNT will remain airing it still. But yes, WE and WGN has also picked-up rights: http://blog.sitcomsonline.com/2013/12/new-years-eve-2013-and-new-years-day.html

L&O will also be on the Sundance Network starting on 1/1/14, per the 90 jillion commercials I've seen for it today.

I like that it's on Sundance. I like the way they are doing the show. They are playing it in broadcast order (not mixing up the episodes like TNT does) and they don't cut the original long opening. (Which, I haven't seen on TV since L&O was on NBC)

5 episodes a night too. And, there's minimal commercials. Much better than the way TNT treats the show.

The episodes aired on TNT seem to be the more recent ones.
