IMO, South Park's first "Jump The Shark" moment was when Chef died and they remixed the intro theme song. This is roughly around the point where South Park evolved from a series about 4 bad kids and their clueless parents from some hick town doing stupid stuff to a parody of every new pop culture event.
And it just Jumped the Shark again with the Season 17 CGI Intro.
The series was still hit-or-miss until "The Coon" episodes, but now I find it hard to even tolerate South Park now (haven't even bothered to watch the Season 17 episodes).
I actually prefer the earlier episodes where the kids are just being kids (or the adults have done something to destroy the town), versus the role they played in the Tiger Woods episode for example.
Many of the series' classic episodes are in Season 1-8
*Bebe's Boobs Destroy Society
*Casa Bonita
*Good Times With Weapons
*Awesom-O
*Hooked on Monkey Phonics
*Butters' Very Own Episode
*Marjorine
But all of that said, what say you? Do you think South Park has "Jumped the Shark? If so, when?
