Was Gary Coleman more bratty than the bratty character he portrayed on Diff'rent Strokes, the profanity that Gary Come Coleman used in that movie Midgets VS Mascots makes me believe that he had a wild personality behind the set of Diff'rent Strokes, its kinda odd how such a happy outgoing kid would grow up to be a angry man that will slap you in a heart beat lol.

Arnold Jackson was a brat?

Arnold Jackson Drummond was a cool kid.

Very spunky, wise, straightforwarded and outspoken.

He was the centerpiece component of the show, stealing millions of TV viewers' hearts and he took off to new heights, making him the main star of the show.

Gary Coleman, in real life, wanted so badly to escape from under the shadows of Arnold, but fans just wouldn't let him, and so, he became quite irritated and annoyed when people would remind him of his charactor on the show.

He withdrew into himself and wanted nothing more to do with society. Which is probably why he settled down into a house well off the beaten path in Phenix, AZ.

He wanted his private life to himself, and when he appeared on Insider, the interviewers were digging up the so-called dirt on him, and that made him mad & furiouse enough to storm off the show, using profanity, and when he came outside to go to his awaiting limo, he stopped and flipped the bird to the surveilence cameras.

And I think that was the straw that broke the camel's back.

He just couldn't handle the pressure from others who were trying the best to work his last nerve, and that just might have been the beginning of the end for him. :(

The Arnold character was feisty and precocious, but still generally good-natured.
Sadly, this wasn't so of Gary who couldn't seem make the transition from child star to adult. He was also chronically ill and experienced a lot of legal stress from suing his agents and parents for misappropriating/mismanaging his earnings. He also had a poor and tumultuous marriage. Sadly, all of these stressors seemed to aggravate his illness and he died an untimely death.

I'm saddened that neither Gary Coleman nor Dana Plato were able to put their demons behind them and lead normal and happy lives.

The other boys, such as Shavar and two others, have moved on with their lives and are doing well.

Gary also was bypolar and at times, would at times, spazz out and tune people out of his mind.

He died way too young, like one of my brothers did! They were both the same age - 43, and they both stroked out, fell to the floor, banged there heads, hemoraged and bled profusely.

His untimely death had brought back sad backlashes of when my dear late brother died, and also, they were both cremated! :eek:

When I used to work at McDonald's in Los Angeles in 2004 working drive thru orders Gary Coleman happened to order by, I remember exactly he ordered the fish filet meal and was staring straight ahead too, he had an earpiece on since he was on the phone.
