He talks in a normal annoying high voice in the first 3 seasons his voice sounds alot deeper in seasons 4 and 5 and maybe 6 but now he sounds like he is on estrogen in seasons 8 and 9 where he sounds like the cartoon character Mickey Mouse in seasons 8 and 9 does anyone find that odd that the producers would not let him speak in a normal males voice he was already 20 or 21 years old in the last 2 seasons ???

I agree. They should have let Jaleel talk using his normal voice. He would still look geeky and all, but the high pitched voice was completely unrealistic.

I so agree with you. In seasons 1-first half of 3 Steve talked in his prepubescent regular voice with a touch of nasal. In seasons second half of 3-5, his voice sounded deeper but nasal sounding. It was a mixture in Season 6. But in seasons 7-9, they had him sounding like Alvin and the Chipmunks mixed with Mickey Mouse. I think that he sounded better in Season 1-5. They should've let Steve still talk nasal, but in a very deeper voice in season 7-9 since he in his late teens and 20s.

Yeah Steve Urkels voice sounded cool and normal for the first 5 or 6 seasons then it got high like a woman sometimes his voice sounded higher than a woman's voice i think Laura had a deeper voice then him hahaha, i think the producers were scared that people might not watch Family Matters if he talked in a normal man's voice like Stefan Urkel, one thing that is a mystery to me and millions of fans around the world how was he able to keep his voice sounding like a preteen kid without his voice breaking, its sad that Steve had to wait to get Laura as his girlfriend until he was 21 years old he was about to graduate college lol, Laura would have to except that she had a deeper voice with her husband Steve lol.

I know. It would be a lot sexier if Steve talked in his sexy deeper voice with a dash of nasal in Seasons 7-9. They had Steve's voice sounding higher than Laura's. YUCK!

Yeah it made him sound gay when he talked like a female i wonder why the producers made him go through humiliation not only that but poor jaleel white had to dress in womens clothes creepy i know for a fact his male peers made fun of him for that poor guy, the producers must of thought if Steve Urkel talked in a normal deep guy's voice people would not watch the show, Steve Urkel could still have a deep voice and be clumsy lol.
