He always went out of his way to impress her and seemed to enjoy going to bats with her whenever she came over. And it was finally confirmed that he was attracted to her in this clip at the 10:10 mark.

I knew what he was trying to say but it just came out wrong. He was saying that his love is so deep for her that it doesn't matter how she looks anymore because her physical is not the only reason he married her.

But louise was acting like she was a teen and insecure

Well said. Wives don't have to look attractive at all anymore. They can get as fat and ugly and smelly as they want because their husbands signed a contract that stated undying love and devotion; for better or worse. Besides, what man marries a woman based on how sexy she is anyway? A sexy figure can't possibly last the length of a good marriage.

Good point, because looks fade as someone gets older

When I was younger I used to wonder why so many men are married to such fat, ugly, homely and smelly women. It wasn't until I got older that I realized that only a girlfriend has to look sexy and gorgeous. A wife is in a committed relationship that is NOT based on physical appearance but rather how well she performs her wifely duties and how good a companion she is to her man. A wife and a girlfriend is Night and Day.

He was not more attracted to Helen than Louise. Where do you get this stuff from? The man was in love with his wife whether he was attracted to Helen or not.

He was more attracted to Helen but of course he loved his wife. He couldn't hide it which is why he

1. had a issue with her being married to a white man
2. always jumped at the chance to argue with her
3. Trying to impress her on the dance floor

Now tell me I am wrong about any of the things I listed? LOL

George was bitter and the fact that a white man married a black woman was not something that set right with him.

George jumped at the chance to argue with Florence too but he was not attracted to her.

George will try to impress anyone whether it be in business or in recreation.

Who knows? Maybe George had a little attraction but its not really confirmed and I am sure that it isn't more than what he had for Louise.

Some one different. It didn't just have to be Helen. Although, I felt they had some chemistry and saw potential to be better friends. It was nice to see them getting along when dancing.
