"The Big Bang Theory" Exclusive: "Drake & Josh's" Josh Peck Cast as Rival to [Spoiler]

Pasadena’s comic book wars are about to heat up.

"The Big Bang Theory" has tapped Josh Peck to guest star as the mortal enemy of comic book “magnate” Stuart (Kevin Sussman), TVLine has learned exclusively.



“Josh will be playing the owner of the rival — and extremely successful — comic book store,” reveals "Big Bang" showrunner Steve Molaro, who adds that, unlike Stuart’s shop, the store owned by Peck’s character “is incredible looking and filled with customers.”

Fun fact: Molaro served as a writer on "Drake & Josh".



His "Big Bang" episode is slated to air on Thursday, Jan. 9, one week after the CBS smash returns from its holiday hiatus.

Now we understand why Stuart feels so threatened.

In next Thursday’s "The Big Bang Theory" (8/7c, CBS), Bernadette’s quest to replace one of Howard’s prized geek ‘zines takes her to Stuart’s comic-book-store competition — and, as you can see via the following exclusive image, it’s a frellin’ awesome establishment.



The majestic, eye-popping shop is tricked out with all the latest graphic novels, action figures, collectible statues and limited edition lithographs. Heck, there’s even a working popcorn machine and a handsome owner (played by Josh Peck).

Basically, it’s everything Stuart’s trading post isn’t. Poor bastard.
