Who is everyone's favorite FT character? I know that most people will probably go with Alex-or maybe Mallory-but my favorite character is Steven. Steven Keaton is one of best, if not the best, dad in television history. The things he believed in coming to age during the 50's and 60's played a big part in why he was such a great parent. Also, he wanted to have a closer relationship with his children not having been close to his own father.

My favorite is Mallory.

Steven is really funny. His jokes are so funny. All the characters listed are funny. Alex is cool, but I think too often he's seen as the only important character, which isn't true. They all contributed to the show and I think they all deserve credit. :)

I'm going off the list and picking Irwin "Skippy" Handleman as my favorite. He and I have a lot in common. We're both adopted. We're both socially awkward. And we're both shy around women.

"There was a kangaroo in my living room." That's my favorite line from Steven. I also like when they hire Geena Davis as a housekeeper and Alex and Steven take her to dinner and she said that working in the Keaton house didn't seem like work to her and Steven said "It doesn't seem like work to us either".

My favorite non Keaton is probably Ellen.

Alex has always been my favorite character. Steven is a close second however. He brings so much to the show including a lot of deadpan humor which I didn't really understand when I was a kid, but find hilarious as an adult.

I always felt sorry for Skippy. He never had a chance with Mallory. He was nice to the Keaton family. Even though he was awkward, I think he fit in with the Keaton family.

After Karen had supposedly fixed the toaster. Alex puts bread in it. It pops up and goes flying across the kitchen. Steven picks it up and says, "If this had been a poptart, we'd be dead now."

I love all the characters- such a great show all around. I love "Family Ties". (And yes- I think it would be nice to include Irwin "Skippy" Handleman and Nick Moore- both are fun additions to the cast.):)

I voted Mallory - with Steven and Jennifer being runners up. Yes Alex was the star, but I kinda always root for the underdog.
