If you scroll down, you'll see that President Bush also snapped a pic with Bono. Is it appropriate? I'd say no. But, this is the digital world. People can't seem to do anything without posting it online.

Exactly. Bush is not in charge anymore. He can do what he wants. It doesn't matter.
Obama is The President and he should be conducting himself in an appropriate manner instead of acting like a star-struck fool.

It's not appropriate behavior for anyone; that was my point. Are you saying that as long as you're not the president, you should be able to get away with inappropriate conduct?

The Bush/Bono picture wasn't a selfie. It's also possible that Bono knows that Bush has done more for Africa than pretty much any other President not involved in a World War. And Bono involves himself with causes that involve the people of Africa, so he wanted a picture with Bush.

If Bush and Bono took a selfie, I'd probably be embarrassed. But Obama was the only real embarrassment over there today, at least from the U.S. (Well, there's Carter also)
