To me, this season has more bland, unmemorable episodes than any other of the Dick York years.

And Then There Were Three, Follow That Witch (Mary Grace Canfield as Harriet Kravitz was great although I love the build-up in Part 1 better than the conclusion which isn't as exciting), My Boss The Teddy Bear, The Dancing Bear and perhaps Trick or Treat would be the only ones I would say are great.

I know it likely goes against popular opinion, but Season 8 is the only one worse than this, and even it had some very fun Serena installments to combat the terrible.

From my experience, (of all the York years) most fans don't consider the second season among their favorites, so I don't think you're alone in your sentiments.

In fact, I used to feel the same way about Season Two, until I watched them chronologically in preparation for these posts. The episodes didn't feel like a let down from Season One, and after viewing the later Dick York years all the way through -- particularly Season Five, but also Season Four -- my appreciation for these installments grew.

One thing in its favor is that the original theme song for S2 is jazzy and big-band-ish and much better than the lilty, plain theme from S1.

"The Joker Is a Card" is my favorite S2 episode, with what I think was Dick York's funniest appearance (Yagga-Zuzi-Zim!), and as an added bonus for me, it was filmed (or at least completed) the day I was born. :)

I've recently been re-watching season two on Antenna TV and I must say that I've been impressed with season 2 more than I used to be. I mean, almost nothing could beat the great season one. But S2 does have some very good episodes. One of my favorites is the one about the lake cabin with the young couple who buy it from Larry. I also like the one where Aunt Clara and her old beau meet up again and most of the others also.
