Would there still have been all those Brady reunions years later?

Would Mike have gone off to work?

Would the kids gotten storylines or somewhat what they wanted?

Would it have ended after season 6?

Would Sam had married Alice?

Would Greg have chosen being a doctor in college?

Cindy wanted a horse. That was easy to do.

Jan wanted to drop out of school. I doubt they would have done that with her, maybe she'd fake sick a few days but nothing more. Designing her own clothes would have been different. As for being a success...no.

Marcia's wants were STUPID. Go to London or something and meet and marry a prince? Well, maybe the Brady's could have gone there or maybe she and Jan travel there in season 6 for a few episodes and she is proposed to but doesn't go through with it.

Bobby wanted to date an older woman. Well, he was 13. I think that could have worked. Maybe him faking his age by a year and making her believe he was in high school...

Peter getting with drugs and arrested...Well, I think the drugs yes, but the arrested no. I think he'd refuse the drugs.

Greg developing more meat. Well, I guess that would mean sex? Maybe him having a steady girlfriend in college?

I doubt they would have gone 100% on their ideas.

Good topic!

Were all of these ideas that the kids had? I know about Susan saying Cindy should get a horse. Mike said that Bobby should have a steady girlfriend, and Barry wanted him to get into an argument with Mike or Carol, (or both), which would lead to him getting slapped.

I could see Cindy's horse. Incidentally, in one of the episodes, I think it's the one where Bobby finds the $1500 wallet, the kids get swollen heads about how they are going to spend "their" money, and Cindy says to Mike, "Can I have a stamp, Daddy? I want to send away for a horse."

Bobby dating an older woman would have been very funny! Visions of the classic double-date with Peter and Greg in "Peter and the Wolf"" come to mind! I think these episodes would have had great potential for success.

Maureen's ideas were a bit too far-fetched. A London vacation in of itself, they might have done. Greg becoming more muscular, sure, but not enough there for a story line. Greg's argument and slugging idea would be unlikely. More realistic arguments yes. Along the lines of the "Greg Gets Grounded" episode would have been excellent. Any kind of physical violence. No. Neither Sherwood or Lloyd would have gone along with that.

Peter involved with drugs and arrested? No from the Schwartz's again. It would hurt the family values and clean-image of the show, which everyone loved. The success of the Brady Bunch's greatness is grounded in presenting quality family values and morals. Sherwood was heart-set on the show staying clear of taboo or controversial topics. The only taboo in this show was the little statue that Bobby and Peter found at the construction site in Hawaii! LOL!

I believe Robert Reed would have been replaced as opposed to being "killed off." Either one of these instances would have made season six very difficult on the viewers. Robert Reed may have been hard-nosed for reference facts, realistic story-lines, and his hatred of slapstick comedy. However, no one else can play Mike Brady as well, although Gary Cole was outstanding in the first Brady Bunch movie! Hated the sequel though!

Can't say if Sam would have married Alice or not? Intuition is probably not. It might be somewhat difficult to incorporate Sam as a main character in every episode. Alice and Sam moving away to live somewhere else is not likely. Ann brought great humor to the show. As a little kid when I watched, I didn't really care for Alice, but when I grew older, I understood more of her humor, and now I think that some of her lines are among my favorite quotes of the series!

I could not pick a major for Greg had he gone on to college. I do think the rest of the kids and he would have done more songs from time to time. Barry actually started playing guitar when he was about fourteen and loved to sing. It is well documented that the interests and vocal ranges of the other kids varied. Susan loved to do the Brady Bunch songs and the live act performances. Chris Knight hated singing, and even worse COULDN'T sing. When the kids had to sing, they would often put Chris' microphone on as low it it would go so he wouldn't "kill" the song!" LOL! He'd be lip-synching!

The varied interests in singing for the kids is interesting. However, that doesn't take away from the classic memories generated from the kids doing the theme song from Season's 2-5, "Keep On", "Sunshine Day", and "Time to Change", are all classics. The worst job of singing though is the season 2 opener. It's still fun though. But the kids sound like an off-key third grade chorus! Listen to Bobby. He's not in synch with the others at all! It's funny because in the Drummer Boy episode, which is in Season 2, we get an episode not only showing Bobby sucking at singing, but drumming as well!!! I love that episode!!! Season 3 on up is better, because the kids by that time had tolerable tone ranges and are more in-tune with their songs.

I think that had their been a season six in theory, Robert and Sherwood should have worked out some of their differences like they did for the previous five years. In practice however, I don't believe that was possible. Robert and Sherwood were sick of each other, and Robert I don't think would have agreed to do a Season Six. From Sherwood's perspective, Robert HAD to be gone, for there to even BE a Season Six.

Some years back, I did do an episode guide for a mock season six. It was a nice way to explore the possibilities.

In the book "Brady,Brady,Brady" Sherwood states that if there had a been a season 6 Robert Reed would not have been part of it. So perhaps alice and Sam would have gotten married and Sam may have become a surrogate father figure to the Brady kids!

If there is been a season six, they would have either had to kill of Mike Brady or send him off on an extended business trip with one of them "speaking" to him on the phone and mentioning him once in a while. Not sure how it would have gone with fans though. A recast would have been out of the question.
