"Richie Almost Dies" is one of the reasons I got into Happy Days. The episode is Happy Days at its finest in demonstrating the humanity of the characters which is meant to mirror the humanity we all should aspire towards in real life.

In addition to Henry Winkler's performance as Fonzie when he is alone in the hospital room with Richie while making an appeal to God, my other favorite moment of that episode was when Suzie Quatro (Leather Tuscadero) is at the piano in the Cunningham house singing a song that I have been informed it entitled, "Believe." While the song is being sung, memories of Richie and his friends are shown. I tried to find the words to the song on this site and couldn't. So I decided to listen to them, copy them down and post them here. The words to the song, "Believe" are as follows:

"Won't you take your strength from your friends. Know they love you so. Oh no, they won't let you down. Come and open your heart, see you're not alone. You'll soon be home. Home again with those laughing eyes. So believe, have faith, in the world and all your friends. Just like we believe in you. You can take your time, you gotta keep on tryin'. 'Cause we need your smile to brighten up our day. Don't go away."

I felt that song should be posted somewhere. It says a lot to me.

I love this ep as well, especially when Fonz has that talk with Richie when he's in the coma.

Your screen name's Potsie. If you're Anson Williams, I will stand outside your house till you come out and agree to marry me. If you're not Anson Williams, understand that you just gave me a heartburn of joy (I figured I was too young for a heart attack)
