Those of you who have read my last post know that the main point of the thread is the fact that it has been quite a while since anyone has posted on this page. I would say that, for the bulk of the population, this show is, out of site, out of mind. I see that the post now has thirty-one views and zero replies. Just for fun, I am going to commemorate this event by writing something special about the number thirty-one. Thirty-one years ago, it was 1982. In 1982, the books were rewritten so that Olympic Athlete Jim Thorpe was re-credited with having won the medals that he was stripped of after the games. It was a cause that his family took on after his death. They were given replicas of the medals that were taken from him. A lot of people will say that it was because he was American Indian that the board dug as deep as they dug to find an excuse to disqualify him for the medals. A lot of hippies and liberals will say that the concessions that they made for his family in 1982 were too little too late. I would be very interested in the schools of thought of anyone here who knows about the situation!
