Once someone sends me the money for a item, how do I ship the item from home? That's where I am getting confused. Do i need a printer to do this?

My plan was to take the package to the Post Office tomorrow and stand in line.

Can I still do it that way?

Thanks

You need a printer if you want to print your labels through Ebay which is cheaper than going to the post office. You should also invest in a postal scale, you can get one on Ebay for less than $20.00.

Ok, well I guess I will be walking around the corner which is no biggie.

One issue I had is that it said the payment i received through paypal won't be available for up to 21 days? HUH?

I have lots of items that will be mailed and I was thinking I could transfer that money to my bank account so I would know it would be getting the money back I am putting out for shipping

That's a new rule for new sellers they came up with a year or 2 ago. I think it's unfair but you can get your money released quicker if you do the following:

Provide a tracking # after shipping the item, you can do this by clicking my Ebay then sold items. You'll see a link under each one to add a tracking #. If you print the labels from home, this is automatically done for you. Once Paypal can confirm delivery they will release the funds in about 3 days. Another advantage to printing your own labels is that tracking is free on all items except anything shipped media rate which is .19 cents. This service can cost you as much as .95 cents for each item if you go to the post office.

I will just mail it tomorrow and add the tracking number.

Charles' info is accurate, Solomon. You can just walk to the post office if you are up to it. I sold and bought on ebay back in 2006 when in college and made some money from it.

That'll work, I print my labels and have the carrier pick them up. I live 8 miles from the nearest post office and it's not worth going there for a few packages. The only exception I'll make is if I missed the carrier.
