If you’re reading this list about the 90s, it must mean you must have a lot of fond memories of growing up in that wonderful decade at the end of the 20th Century. Or maybe you just happened to be there, and thought the 90s were pretty good. Or maybe you clicked this by mistake. That’s a bit silly. Whatever your reason for reading this, it must mean you have some idea of what the 90s stand for. For a lot of us the 90s represents our childhood, or maybe our teenage years, or young adult years; but whatever, the 90s brings back memories of our youth.

One aspect of growing up in the 90s is our memories of TV. The programmes, events and news of the 90s can all be collectively remembered through television. Maybe you recall watching the 1994 World Cup, or seeing the news of Princess Diana’s death. Perhaps you were watching TV when the 90s came to an end, and saw the celebrations all over the world as the year 2000 rolled in. Personally I was sleeping through all of the above.

But overall, what we remember about the 90s are the TV shows. They essentially forged our childhood, influencing what toys we wanted to play with, how we wanted to dress, which friends we shared interests in. TV shows of the 90s are quite memorable. I bet we all remember seeing Rugrats as kids, or in the evening putting on Fresh Prince of Bel Air, or sitting on the sofa watching Sabrina The Teenage Witch. And everybody loved Pokemon of course. Even shows we might not have understood, we still watched, Buffy The Vampire Slayer filled our evenings, just as Friends and the Simpsons were filled with jokes and references sometimes way out of our understanding.

However, there are a number of TV shows from the 90s which are just on the outer edges of our memories. TV shows we used to watch, but can’t quite remember. For all the fans of the 90s out there, prepare to be struck with a severe case of nostalgia, as I bring you 10 Awesome 90s TV Shows Which Should Not Be Forgotten…

The only show on this list that I like is "Lois & Clark".

I would add "Blossom", "Major Dad", "Two Guys and a Girl", & "Unhappily Ever After" to the list. These 4 shows are on the verge of being forgotten by many. They really need DVD releases!

I love "Sliders." It was far from perfect but it's a fun show to watch.

Lois and Clark and Due South were the only ones on that list that I like. I agree about "Blossom", "Major Dad", "Two Guys and a Girl", & "Unhappily Ever After." They were all underrated sitcoms and should be seen again.

I loved Sliders, Deep Space Nine,Lois and Clark, Farscape and Seaquest. Seaquest was an underwater version of Star Trek and was very underrated. The only sci fi show I didn't see on this list was Space Police. Sci Fi was great in the 90s and this is a great list.

These shows are all favorites of mine but only "Grace Under Fire", "Mad About You", and "Hangin' with Mr. Cooper" are in somewhat trouble with becoming extinct in the coming years. All the other shows are (for the most part) always airing in syndication.

I haven't seen "Blossom" on TV in a long time. I think "Newsradio" is probably my most favorite show of the 90s that doesn't seem to air much anymore. And "Mad About You" too.

"Mad About You" is currently airing on FXX.

I haven't got that channel. Last year a "family" channel aired "Mad About You" for about a month in the fall and then dropped it - then started airing it in the summer months. And it's gone again.

"Newsradio" is currently airing on Fridays and Saturdays on a "music" channel, and I can't really figure out why, not that I'm complaining. :)

Star Trek-Deep Space Nine never seems to get the respect that it should. It's a great show!

Ya maybe slightly....... (Of all the new STAR TREK series DS9 was the one i did like somewhat)

If you’re reading this list about the 90s, it must mean you must have a lot of fond memories of growing up in that wonderful decade at the end of the 20th Century. Or it means you think the list is a joke as you know ALMOST NOTHING GOOD CAME OUT OF THE 90s and wanted to see what was on it..

"NewsRadio" seems to go to odd places. I remember for a while it was on The Biography Channel.

It's my favorite show and I own all the DVDs but I still wish it had a better life in reruns. It was briefly on Nick at Nite, then briefly on WGN, then briefly on Reelz. I'd say its longest time spent on a channel was back in 2000 when it aired on A&E for about two years.

One underrated show from the 90s that deserves mention is "Roc". It was a good show in general but also has a unique distinction. Like some shows since the 90s, they did a live episode. However, unlike other shows, they then went on to do an entire season live. These were good actors who likely had a certain amount of theater background as their were relatively few slip-ups in the live shows.

I believe TV One used to rerun this series, but it's been years since I've seen it anywhere. Unfortunately, I doubt we will ever get an official DVD release due to music being incorporated into the show, especially later on.

Hangin' with Mr. Cooper really needs a dvd release, it's not on tv anymore. Major Dad too. Newsradio was good, I'll have to try to watch that again
