Something was missing a spark I'll say when our wide eyed innocent governess left the show.

I totally agree. It's funny, because Alexandra Moltke was by no means a great actress, but she had a quality that was just right as the confused ingénue heroine. I know she left when she realized that Vickie was no longer going to be the center of the show, but they should have given her a great exit, instead of having the character peter out with two bad replacement actresses.

Alexandra tends to be wooden performer but she does have this quirkiness to her and of course she was a countess in real life. I loved following her mysterious storyline and her chemistry with Burke Devlin. She was definitely the main focus of Dark Shadows in the early years.

I so cannot wait to see the poor man Vickies. I watched the pre-Barnabas episodes and enjoyed them immensely. I then skipped over to the 1897 storyline to see what Quentin was all about. To be honest, I just can't click with the whole storyline. I'm dragging my heels to finish it. I also was amused to see Katherine Leigh Scott morph into a Vickie-like character.

Utter fabulousness to see sweet & innocent Vickie aka Miss Winters again after ditching the 1897 storyline(for now).
