I was in 1st grade, our nun was teaching us about something (I forget what) when someone from one of the older grades came to our classroom & told us.

IMO, JFK's assassination, 9/11, and Pearl Harbor were the three most pivotal moments the US has endured in the last 100 years.

I wasn't born yet either. But my older siblings were at school when they found out he was shot. My mom was cleaning house when she found out.

I was just a little pest so I imagine when my mom was watching it on tv I was probably getting into something I wasn't supposed to.

I was in my 8th grade math class when the announcement came over the PA system. My teacher, Mrs. Hart, just crumbled. I was glued to the tv through the whole thing. When John John saluted his father I cried. I'll never forget it or that day!:(

I wasn't born yet. He probably would have been President when I was born if he wasn't killed. I remember my Mom telling me that she was watching As the World Turns on TV when the story broke. I saw that clip over on youtube a few years ago.

I was like you, don't remember much. My parents might have shielded me from the tragedy. Although I do remember a few years later while in my grade school class room, hearing that Herbert Hoover and Douglas MacArthur died and wondering Who are they?

I look at this photo of Caroline, mother and John and think, wasn't it cold to be in a short coat and ? wearing shorts. Was it warm day then?
