I have not yet read the Book IT i heard its better then the movie more creepy and scary, i do like the 1990 2 part with the kids on the first and the adults on the part 2 i was entertained but does the film really need a reboot with another remake in this Generation ???

I've never been a fan of the miniseries version, I think it's one of the weakest adaptations of King's novels. I don't find anything remotely scary about it. Too much was left out due to budget, time constraints, and the fact it was made for TV.

But seeing as the new theatrical version is still only two parts, unless each movie is at least over 2 hours I'm not sure.

I hope they at least get across what the miniseries failed to do- that IT itself is more than just a clown and giant cheesy spider.

I have seen alot worse of Stephen King's movies then IT lol, but i dont think a remake in 2014 is going to help they waited too long unless they find actors who are good at acting, i dont think people are going to want to sit in a theater for 4 or 5 hours for the new IT movie without falling asleep.

I don't see the point as the original is really good. I remember when they remade Salem's Lot a few years ago. It was nowhere near as good as Tobe Hooper's version.
