I was wondering since both characters had a hard time directions like Gilligan not following right directions with the angry violent skipper who always told him what to do, or Young Beaver not following simple directions with his father which got his father mad at times, which character from two diff'rent sitcoms did not follow directions Beaver or Gilligan ???

I think Gilligan plays more of a bumbling fool. He usually has no clue what he is doing, but he is always cheerful while he's messing it up.

I think Beaver often disobeyed his parents and got into trouble for that. Sometimes Beaver would lose money and then lie to cover it up for fear of getting into trouble.

Beaver was only a kid but he would most likely follow better directions from the skipper then Gilligan in my theory .
