View Full Version : Wonderful World of Disney

Hello -

I hope everyone is doing well! I'm not sure if many people remember this, but during the late 1980s/early 1990s, channels like FOX and other off-the-beaten-path stations (the non-cable channels that weren't CBS, NBC, ABC) would show 1960s/1970s episodes of the Wonderful World of Disney on weekend afternoons. They had an updated Wonderful World of Disney introduction theme, but before the actual film/segment/special began, there would be a still image of the Disneyland castle with the title of the show, the actors, and writers fading in and out over the image. In same cases, they would actually show full-length films in this program (with Hayley Mills, Annette, Fred MacMurray, etc.), and instead of running the actual opening credits of the film, they would have the flashing titles over the castle.

I was wondering if anyone might have something like this stored away somewhere - hopefully with original commercials. I was able to track one down for "Charlie, the Lonesome Cougar," and it really brings back memories of those late-fall or winter weekend afternoons when I was a kid. Incidentally, if anyone has any Disney-related items from the late 1980s/early 1990s with original commercials, I would also be interested!

Thanks for checking out this thread!

I have just about every movie made by Walt Disney.... Don't have any Wonderful World of Disney though.
