I am not trying to spread rumors but I heard that Lavin was difficult to work with on other shows such Rhoda. I remember reading somewhere that Lavin Guest starred on Rhoda but she came into conflict with the stars of the show. Has anyone heard such stories because she guest starred when Rhoda had her wedding shower

I have not heard of any trouble on RHODA, for the episode: THE WEDDING SHOWER. The character she played was a trouble maker, though. She also did an episode of PHYLLIS: WIDOWS, MERRY AND OTHERWISE. Have not heard of any conflict for her appearances on BARNEY MILLER, either.

Perhaps. Lavin saw ALICE as HER show. The problem was she got jealous. Once she forced Polly off, I believe she felt she could strong-arm Diane. No chance! I think she mellowed a bit by the time Celia arrived.
