Lifetime Orders New Fashion Reality Series Hosted by "Project Runway’s" Tim Gunn

Lifetime is further expanding the "Project Runway" franchise with "Under The Gunn", a 13-episode new fashion series starring "Project Runway" co-host Tim Gunn, produced by "Runway‘s" Bunim/Murray and The Weinstein Co. and featuring "Runway" alumni.
As for Gunn, the new show, which premieres on January 16, does not mean a departure from the mothership series, on which he will carry on with his duties.
This marks the third "Project Runway" offshoot on Lifetime, including "Project Runway All Stars", now in its third season, and "Project Accessory", which ran for one cycle.
On "Under The Gunn", "Runway" alumni Mondo Guerra, Anya Ayoung-Chee and Nick Verreos will be tasked with mentoring and managing a fashion empire with 15 new up-and-coming designers under their watch.
Each mentor will have a team of designers they must manage, coach, cheerlead and, when necessary, knock down with tough love in order to lead them to runway success in front of the judges, designer Rachel Roy, celebrity stylist Jen Rade, and fashion correspondent Zanna Roberts Rassi.
As designers are whittled down during the season, one designer and one mentor will be deemed the winners of "Under The Gunn".
The series begins production in Los Angeles this month at Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.
