man that's great news !

it would be even better if they could follow it up with season 5 of Happy Days though :(

- i wonder if they are planning a "Deluxe Version" of Joanie Loves Chachi The Complete Series, where you can pay a little extra $$ for replacement music.

I hope CBS/Paramount will include everything as it was originally shown because if God forbid thy put Happy Days season 5 without the original music and edited scene then they might as well go out of business because I feel that it would be a disservice to those who has waited along time and if that would be the case, then like season 2 flopped they are going to be in serious trouble with there fans

Why do they keep looking over the 4th season of Mork & Mindy?

I remember Joanie Loves Chachi as the butt of every joke even referenced on many other sitcoms and now finally the complete series is coming out, I've never seen it until bits of it showed up on Youtube and from the looks the show was bad, I mean we're taking Homeboys In Outerspace bad.

What do you think of calling it "Punky Bruster" bad?

Joanie Loves Chachi was waaaay better than "Homeboys In Outer Space". There is no comparison. "Homeboys" got canned the UPN network. That tells you how bad it was. Some of the antics actually offended me. LOL.

I recently spoke with a member of Milles Creek and I told the person of whom I was talking about how I would love to see them in the near future especially if CBS would do it to by the rights to released the series with everything intact the way in which it should have been but they that its a good suggestion where in the future they might consider

Good god, that show was bad! I remember watching it when it first aired, and even then I hoped that Garry Marshall was saving his money, because his ride was ending.

HD, L&S, M&M all ended in a two year period. I can't even imagine how hard that would be to have so much success and then have it all crash down so quickly.

The False Claim, that JOANIE LOVES CHACHI is one of the worst programs in television history,
is really a Bogus Exaggeration concocted by Internet Haters who seek to Denigrate and Marginalize
SCOTT BAIO just because he happens to be one of the few Republican celebrities in Liberal Hollywood.

But in order to be properly and fairly judged as one of the worst,
a television show must possess at least one, two or all three of these negative qualities:

1. Overexpensiveness
( Super Train, Space: 1999, The Colbys, Chevy Chase's late night talk show )

2. Bizarreness
( Cop Rock, Manimal, My Mother The Car, Pink Lady, Homeboys In Outer Space )

3. Moral Reprehensiveness
( The Jerry Springer Show, The Anna Nicole Smith celebrity reality series, GLEE )

JOANIE LOVES CHACHI had none of these negative elements.
The production was not overexpensive.
The premise was not bizarre.
The plots were not reprehensible.

The mere accusation that a TV series is blandly average or simply mediocre
is just not enough to label it as truly bad and one of the worst.

At the very least, JOANIE LOVES CHACHI is definitely not The Bugaloos.
( Long live Martha Raye as Benita Bizarre!!! )

What do you think of calling it "Punky Bruster" bad?
With Punky Brewster it was mostly for kids so you can expect adults thinking it was bad.

But J&C starred two adolecsent 20-somethings you'd think the writing would be more adult-ier?

For a minute there, I thought I was in the IMDB forums...

The show was cancelled over 25 years before anyone knew Baio's political views. Almost 15 years before the internet went mainstream. It was thoroughly lambasted as a punch line for a bad show before anyone knew Baio's political views. It's just not a good show. It was a bad idea. The only reason it's coming out on DVD is due to the Happy Days connection. They know the hardcore HD fans will buy it for the sake of "completeness". Very few other people will ever buy it.

It's the same with Three's a Crowd, the Three's Company spinoff with John Ritter. Not a good show; cancelled after one season and deservedly so. As a big Three's Company fan, if they released it on DVD tomorrow, I'd buy it. ;) :D

Some would say the same thing about The Ropers. It wasn't a great show but I thought it was much better than Three's a Crowd and I'd love an official release.

And I sadly admit, I'll be buying Joanie Loves Chachi too... :( Only for the fact that some of the Happy Days regulars guest-starred in a few episodes.
