In the first scene of 'A Most Momentous Occasion' Uncle Joe is complaining to Doc Craig about waiting 45 minutes for Steve to get out of the bathroom. He says "I could understand about damn Raquel Welch--but him, phooey!"

Or does he? I've listened over and over and, unless its the weirdest time-compression artifact ever, it seems impossible for him to have said anything but that.

As far as I know it is the only such salty word usage in a Henning rural comedy, and in the last one you'd expect to find it.

I checked my copy from TV Land, so it was not time compressed.

What Uncle Joe actually says is, " . . . if out came Raquel Welch."

Your "about" was "if out" and his "came" sounded more like "cam", so I get why you thought what you did :)

You're so right. Explains why I was first to notice. :eatarrow: Janet's reaction seemed so much more appropriate the way I heard it. *sigh*
